Shore Line Trolley Museum
Pageant of 100 Year Old Trolleys

June 23, 2001

On June 23-4, 2001, Shore Line Trolley Museum held its annual Pageant of 100-year-old trolleys, featuring all its centenarian rolling stock, plus a representative of each decade through the 1940s. Bill Young provided the educational and often humorous commentary as several cars from the museum's collection received a moment in the spotlight. Featured in the parade were Rhode Island Co. #61 (1893), BRT BU #1227 (1903), BRT Convertible #4573 (1906), Montreal & Southern Counties Interurban #9 (1911), Toronto Transportation Co. Line Car #25 (1923), Johnstown Traction Co. #357 (1926), BMT PCC #1001 (1936), and Red Arrow Brilliner #8 (1941). Third Avenue Railway #220 (1892), Union Railway #316 (1896), Lynchburg Electric Railway #34 (1899), BRT #1792 (1899) were not in the parade, but were on static display outside the barns.
