It appears that NYCT will be receiving its new HEV's in a brand new style.
(Personal opinion: the new units will take some getting used to!)

I'm confused - the photos show 6749 is a typical MTA Orion VII. The next-generation bus on display is a demo. Was there some news on BusChat or elsewhere which indicated that NYC would be receiving part of the order with the new look?

Sorry about that, Jim! You are quite correct.
I think I'm the one who is a bit dazed and confused.
I thought the "new look HEV" (now there's a strange combination of bus terms!) already was painted in NYCT livery.
Perhaps I need a new pair of eyeglasses... Shocked

It'll certainly be interesting to see the next-gen 07s showing up. What will be the MTA's plans after the current delivery (if it's still happening - I haven't been in tough with the bus world much lately) foor ordering more buses?

NYCT and MTAB will receive the next-generation buses eventually, without a doubt. Since we're devoted to buying Orion products we'll definitely see them at some time in the future.
