NEW YORK OMNIBUS 2629

Just briefly heard on 1010 WINS that there has been a serious bus accident just outside Buffalo; according to reports, there were also a number of children on board.

Sadly, multiple fatalities have been reported.

My sympathies and prayers go out to all involved......

The bus involved was chartered in New York, and was heading back to the city from Niagara Falls on Interstate 90; this was a rollover incident.........

One news report states:

".....the bus was running full speed and the driver lost control......"

Serious damage to the bus; a number of passengers were/are trapped beneath the wreckage.......

As of now, the name of the company owning the wrecked bus has not yet been released............truly a great tragedy (reports state that most passengers were not wearing seatbelts).......

Just heard on CBS NEWS (6:30) that the bus driver survived, he is now talking with authorities.....

The bus involved into day's tragic accident was operated by "M&Y TOURS" of Staten Island.......

No new developments in this tragic accident; all I know is that the driver is cooperating with authorities, to determine just why/how he lost control of the coach........
