buses received by NFT. NFT also had 45 TDH5106s delivered in two groups: 7000-7029 in 1953-54 and 7100-7114 in 1957. NFT wound up with a total of 65 of these buses with the 20 from the Buffalo Transit Company added to the fleet and renumbered. The ex BTC 340-349 renumbered as 700-709 were last operated in revenue service in 1978, with one having been converted to a vault bus. 20 other TDH5301s, all from a cancelled Buffalo Transit Company order were added to the fleet, these were numbered 7470-7489. This group of buses will not show up on any production records, but I have seen one in this group in revenue service during Metrobus days when much of the NFT fleet was still intact. When NFT merged Buffalo Transit Company in 1963, all of the 36 and 45 seat buses were sold off as were both of BTC's garages. |
