Appreciate the info.
IMHO, regarding non-Old Look-type buses, ""Dangerfields: would have seen more appropriate for Brooklyn, at least at the onset, having more of a stolid "working class" look than a flashy Fishbowl............

And indeed, Brooklyn was where the first "Dangerfields" all went . . . not a single sliver of them, at the onset, trod the roads of "tony" Manhattan. (Of course, the "museum" buses, thru' 2019 . . . ) |

Interesting...... have always thought of the "Dangerfield" being a "workingman's Fishbowl"; like the "Pattoms", the "Dangerfields" had a distinct "no frills, no flash"appearance, unlike the more flamboyant Fishbowls.
Too.....think of how many Fishbowls had batwings, while only one lobe "sroa" Flexie was evcr equipped with them..............

In the past, I put up pics of a "Shik-aga" "Dangerfield" with batwings . . . if any of 'em were assigned to "tony" Manhattan, no doubt some would have had them added on, as the last 200 of the 1965-66 Fishbowl order for " 'stoa" (meaning, 6701-6900) had. |

Interesting to consider........
Had "Gee-Em" not produced the Fishbowl, one wonders what a "modern" FLXIBLE transit coach might have looked like.
After all, the Fishbowl inspiration was MORE than obvious in the "Dangerfield".
As we know, through the 60s, the "See-Tee-Yay" was MORE than enamored with the"Dangerfield"; it was not until the 70s that new Fishbowls were purchased............

Might've looked more like Mack's final "new" bus. From the pics you'd linked to in the past. |

*Note the destination sign; this was from an "INTER-CITY coach.
This line (JSQ-Paterson) ran by our old apartment building back in the 60s; Mom nd I used it a number oof times over the years.
The libe akso used ACF-BRILLs and WHITES (two models) through the 60s.................
