Cuberider:

Those Old Look-style buses/trolleybuses in Russui were indeed exceptional; by this I mean that in almost all other European countries, the buses/trolleybuses bore no resemblence to anything seen here in the States.

In one of mu books, there is a photo of a modern (1950s) Moscow tram that was equipped with Old Look/PCC-style standee windows..........

The 1950s Moscow tram I just mentioned also featured inward-slanting windshields, in addition to the standee windows..........

It is also interesting to note, that, prior to rebuilding the PCCs into boxy, uninspired vehicles. a group of "wartime"PCCs from Boston were purchased as parts donors for the "M&O" subwayPCC fleet...............
