Was thinking.........
I used to wonder why none of "The Little Red Bus That Could's" fleet was sold to any of the Hudson County "indies"; then I realized, that, at that time, they were operating a good number of NJDOT "Dangerfields", they would have had no use for the work-weary, hardscrabble "AVENUE B" veterans..........

| Yeah, that would have put a damper on those final Avenue B buses, no?

Recalling now, the few ex-NYCTA LAFAYETTE & GREENVILLE Old Looks (too bad they didn't purchase a few of those disinctive 5106s, while they were a it).....

Further:
I have often thought of TNJ ordering Canadian Fishbowls; but, by 1979, the NJDOT "Dangerfields" were still virtually new,, and NJT was about to take the helm,
They would soon, of course, order large numbers of the opnce-commonplace METRO "Bs".....

Also................
Had there not been an influx of nearly 900 NJDOT "Dangerfields" in the later 1970s, I wonder if, perhaps, at least a few of the Hudson County "IBOA" independents might have ordered Canadian Fisbowls, to replace the last remaining "Shermans', then still in operation"......

Or for that matter, the Canadian "Gee-Em" Classics that followed, and which New York Bus Service bought.

W.B.:
NEVER even thought of the "Classics"; it would have been interesting, to say the least, seeing "AVENUE B" running a fleet of these distonctive buses (never saw 'em here in "Joisey", that's for "soitan"!)

The paint scheme reminds me a bit of that used on "SUBURBAN's" Fishbowls, many years ago.
