This page covers the many makes and types of vehicles that were seen in the classic TV series, "HAWAII 5-O" (there are also some photos of several GM and Flxible buses!)

But, scroll down through the page, and you will find an OUTSTANDING collection of classic airliner photos, as well as airport scenes!

Just by looking at the now long-gone aircraft (jets and props!), and now-classic liveries, illustrates just how much has disappeared during the past several decades.

Frightening times.......

From the news reports I've been watching (and listening to)on Saturday, the "friendly skies" are now becoming even far less friendly, with many airlines cancelling flights to certain aready due to the attack on Iran.

This situation is likely to be one that will not be resolved, any time soon........., Sad

Soaring fuel costs.........

Surely this will be seriously impacting air trave in the coming months, if the War in Iraq is not wrapped up soon.

I see reduced service, cancellations, and a great deal more on the horizon (as though air travel wasn't a hassle enough, these days)

So much for "flying the friendly skies".......... Sad

Tragedy at LGA............

Heard on the news that an "AIR CANADA" regional jet which was taxiing collided with an airport fire truck (knocking it over); both the pilot and co-pilot tragically lost their lives; the cockpit area was destroyed.

The two men aboard the truck are now in stable condition, and, thankfully, expected to survive.

At Newark (EWR) there was a temporary ground stop, as there was a smoke condition at the tower; the tower was evacuated, but, again thankfully, there was no fire (an elevator malfunction was the cause)...........

*"LAG" will remain closed until at least 2PM today; all flights are being rerouted to Newark (EWR).............
