I have (still in the box!) a PSM HO PCC car (someone painted it decades ago; sort of reminds me of Pittsburgh!); the brochure/instruction manual is headed:
"QUEEN OF THE TROLLEYS"!

The following is from a book I have on London buses, comparing old to new......
".......modern buses are bizarre-looking and depressing: their very designs indicate troubled and disturbed minds: seats on different levels, seats back to front, lurid playpen fabrics and colour schemes, lava-lamp globules of plastic at every turn, and an annoying soundtrack of electronic bleeps and ticks......."
"......modern buses have all the appeal of the inside of a Hoover. New buses looked deformed and bulked-out, as though 'Action Man' had been pumped up by steroids by Hasbro......"
Sadly, these highly-negative comments also describe today's modern LRVs..............

When I first purchased this book some years ago, I did a DOUBLE TAKE when I read the author's less-than-flattering descriptions of modern buses.....I thought that, somehow, he could read my mind!
