Meanwhile, the "EYE-landers" lost, the "RAIN-jers" just got started, and the "Joisey" Devils so far are not only losing, they're not even on the scoreboard. Not a good night shaping up for "Noo Yawk" area hockey. And it appears when the "Ka-nikker-bockers" are on the road, apparently the animated "Globetrotters" are nowhere to be found, as the Bucks in "Mil-WALK-key" have "moiduhlized" them. Definitely shaping up to be a "seesaw" season for 'em.

Meanwhile, in the "Woild" Series, "doze Bloo Jayz" have evened the Series once more at 2 games apiece, totally shellacking "doze traffic Dod-jers." Talk about swinging pendulums . . .

W.B.:

Just like in pro baseball, we're seeing now a lot of floundering, ineptness, shoddy performances, seesaw/pendulum games, etc.

As far tonight's "Joisey" Devils game, perhaps the spirit of the once-great "Pee-Es" was dissolved by minions of "En-Jay-Tee"? Razz

I WAS hoping that "Doze DODG-ers from El-Ay" were going to win again tonight....... Sad

(This evening, Jimmy Kimmel was really getting into last night's "El-Ay" game, including some footage) Wink

The Devils were playing in Colorado where the Avalanche are based, so apparently "Pea-Ess' " spirit is confined to "Joisey" and their home games. Apparently the "coyce" of "En-Jay-Tee" is everywhere else in the country.

Let us pray that the slim "Rain-jers' " lead holds and that Mr. Fischler could go to bed without having to down Maalox before.

I read you lous and clear.

Right now, I would not want to see how much poor Mr. Fischler is having to shell out on antacids..... Sad

In sports "nooze" . . .

- The Washington Generals - er, Brooklyn Nets, lost to the Hawks in "At-LANT-a," their record a perfect (ha!) 0-5.

- So far, so good for "doze Bloo Jayz," who in Game 5 are winning big against "El-Lay." And on the Dodgers' home "toif," yet!

Was kind of hoping that all signs would be pointing towards "El-Ay" winning "da 'Woild' Series two years in a row, to "foither" irk the "AYFs"............. Sad

More sports "nooze," as we await for the other shoe to drop in the "Woild" Series:
- The "Eye-landers" lost again, and have plunged to last in the "En-Aitch-El's" Metropolitan Division
- The "RAIN-jers" are losing thus far to and in Edmonton, thus no doubt Mr. Fischler's gonna' have to have his antacid bottle handy
- The Devils, when on the road, clearly are afflicted by the "coyce" of "En-Jay-Tee," if their score thus far in San Jose against the Sharks is of any indication. They only seem to have the protection of the old "Pea-Ess" when they're at home.

W.B.:

IMHO, I think that Mr. Fischler must be buying his antacids in BULK, these days. Sad

Yeah, it's obvious that when "doze Devils" from "Joisey" are playing road games, that, indeed, they "snap" that invisible (but still powerful) "connection" with the lingering spirit of the great "Pee-Ess"....... Sad

Oh, and apparently the "RAIN-jers" won in "Oh-Tee," so Mr. Fischler would be able to put the Maalox away for the time being again.

W.B,:

Indeed, I think it would be a MOST WELCOME change for Mr. Fischler to ease off on the Maalox.........at least for the time being! Wink

Now, keep yer fingers crossed that "doze Dodgers from 'El-Ay' " go on to a victory this evening Wink (just thinking, that, when "Dem Bums" first started playing in "El-Ay", the city still had narrow-gauge PCCs and trolleybuses (for at least a few more years), and the very last remnants of the once-vast "Pee-Eee" network was then living on borrowed time.........

Late sports "nooze" for Friday...........

"Doze DOD-jers From El-Ay" beat doze "Bloo Jays"! Wink

Meanwhile, the "EYE-landers" won, but the "Kan-ikker-bokkers" lost. Sad

Guess those animated "Globetrotters" couldn't make tonight's game...... Rolling Eyes

As the "Ka-nikker-bokkers" played in "Shik-aga" against "da Bulls," apparently transportation problems held up the animated "Globetrotters." They're another team who, like the "Joisey" Devils, do wonders at home but, thus far, have bombed on the road.

As for the "Woild" Series, far from gruntled "Bloo Jays" fans filed out of Rogers Centre on various "Tee-Tee-See" modes of transportation, from the subways to the "BINO's" to whatever light rail (or what passes for it) they have.

Tonight, it's do-or-die for both teams.

W.B.:

The "Tee-Tee-See" no longer has CLRVS (which I liked); nowadays, as you might expect, it's all slithering, mutated electric eels. Razz

Sure hope "dem DOD-gers from "El-Ay" win da "Woild" Series tonight; not only as I've been rooting for them, but also, to further irk the massive legions of "AYF"s............ Wink
