Does anyone have a bus roster from Command Bus Company dating back to 1979 when they took over Pioneer Bus Corporation?

To follow up, I've been trying to compile roster information for Command and Pioneer. I'm looking for corrections or additions to the following list. This roster only includes GM and Flxible New Looks.

Based on visits to the DOT yard in East Carnarsie on 6/7/00 & 8/23/00 I can update some of the info.

On the Property on either of both dates were the following Command Buses

I apologize if this is slightly off topic, but does anyone know why Command Bus decided not to take NYBS #1313? (which is privately owned) I'm starting to think they might have been superstitious about taking that bus. I hope it's just a coincidence. I figured NYBS would have sold Command 10 consecutive buses instead of intentionally skipping one over. Anyone know?

I'd probably think twice about buying a bus numbered 1313!

Although, it never bothered Green Line - virtually every order of buses they bought had a 13 in it (113, 313, 513, 613, 713, 813, 913 etc.)

However, my grandparents lived at 336 Central Park West in Manhattan on the fourteenth floor which was actually the thirteenth floor because there was no thirteenth floor!

I'm sure there must have been superstitious drivers who refused to drive a bus with a 13 in the number (I wasn't one of them!).

Wow! I was not expecting a response from the "Guru of Green Bus Lines" himself, Mr. Alan Linsky! I guess my first guess was the right one! Thanks a million, Mr. Linsky! Very Happy

Getting back on point, does anyone know how long Command had those ex-NYBS T6H-5308A Fishbowls before they were retired? Since NYBS took great care of their buses, I figured they had been serviceable for awhile until they were finally removed from service. The only one I've actually seen is the one in the CBC Photo Gallery with the NYBS paint scheme "bleeding" through the roof, due to the paint chipping away from erosion. (#483; ex-NYBS #1309) Other than that, the others I've seen on past bus sites that are no longer available. I'd hate to see how the others wound up. NIMCO, perhaps?

As an aside, Pace is known for skipping over the number xx13 in their bus orders.

The Command ex-NYBS Fishbowls were most likely scrapped.
