Just came across this interesting page:

https://www.washington-heights.us/trolleys-of-washington-heights-and-inwood/

In the comments section, a retired MABATOA (1974-1985) driver says there once was an elevator in the sub-basement that carried streetcars upstairs for servicing.

I knew that TARS had a multi-level car house (w/an elevator) in Yonkers, quite late.....

Regarding the former MaBSTOA depot which once was used for streetcars; can anyone here provide photos (or more information) of the facility?

Appreciate any input.......

MANY, MANY THANKS for posting this link......somehow, I must have missed it, the first time around!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AWESOME collection of nostalgic photos that show a REAL bus garage for REAL buses!!!!!!!!!

What a shame that this historic, echoing old depot is no longer in existence......so much transit history once lived within its walls!

Again, THANK YOU......this is exactly what i was looking for!
