Besides their 2003 Orion V CNG's, are the 1999-2000 Orion V CNGs retired now?

I haven't spotted any 9900's in service since last fall, but I haven't been by the garage recently to confirm if they are still around.

Update - I spotted a 9900 in service yesterday afternoon (couldn't get the number, though). I drove by the garage today and spotted four of the O5's in the yard - 9915, 9924, 9926 and 9977. All still have license plates and 9915 still has a farebox (I couldn't see the fronts of the other three buses).

Funny how Centro's units are still in service, but MTA bus Company's as well as MTA Long Island bus's Orion V CNGs are in the process of being phased out.

Most of Centro's units are retired. Just the last dozen or so hanging around out of the 78 buses originally bought. |

The New York State Fair began its 2014 run yesterday, and with it Centro's annual park & ride shuttle operation is back as well. As a result, the 9900-series Orion V CNG's are back in service during the weekday rush hours. Buses spotted in service during this morning's rush included 9908, 9926, 9928, 9929, 9934, 9940, 9942 and 9948.

Centro's 9900-series Orion V CNG's are no more. The final 12 buses that were in the contingency fleet have been retired and put up for auction.
